Meet the Artist: Alex Paradowski

Meet visual artist Alex Paradowski, whose mixed media composition Good Overcomes was selected for inclusion in the new Picture of Health exhibition at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis Missouri. Picture of Health features artworks that embody, illustrate, or otherwise express concepts of physical, spiritual and mental well-being, addressing the question, "What is YOUR picture of health?"

Picture of Health runs through Oct. 1, 2014, and is free and open to the public 24 hours a day in the South Lobby of Barnes-Jewish Hospital. The exhibition features original artworks by 16 St. Louis regional artists. With its wide range of styles and expressions, "Picture of Health" aims to create an aesthetically rich, uplifting experience for patients, families and staff caregivers, enlivening and elevating the emotional and intellectual atmosphere.

Jurors for Picture of Health are nationally exhibited artist Bunny Burson; Sarah Colby, artist and Arts + Healthcare Program Coordinator, The Foundation for Barnes-Jewish Hospital; and Jennifer Arvin, Director of Communications & Marketing, Barnes-Jewish Hospital.
