Art Saint Louis presents our 18th annual "Varsity Art" invitational exhibition featuring 33 outstanding undergrad & grad level art students from 17 St. Louis regional colleges & universities from Missouri & Illinois.

NEW FEATURES TO THIS YEAR'S EXHIBIT

One of the new features to this year's exhibit includes the opportunity for Gallery visitors to Meet the Artists by scanning a QR code on the tag next to each artwork in the exhibit. Guests can scan the code with their smartphone or digital notepad and then watch a short Artist Interview Video introducing them to each artist. Meet the Artist videos can be viewed on the Art Saint Louis youtube channel here.

Another new feature to this year's "Varsity Art XVIII" exhibit is that one artist's work has been selected to receive an Award of Excellence as being an "outstanding" artwork in the exhibition. That artist is Damon Gaspar of St. Louis Community College Meramec (his artwork is pictured below) and he is now eligible to submit awork for Art Saint Louis' "Honor Awards 2015" curated exhibition, a show only open to artists who receive Awards of Excellence in our juried exhibits this year. So, this is a great honor and we are pleased to select one artist from this exhibit to receive an Award of Excellence and privileged to include Mr. Gaspar as our Award of Excellence recipient.

Throughout the exhibition, which remains on view through March 27, Gallery visitors can vote for their favorite artworks in the show. Each artist has a unique hashtag on the show tag next to their artwork and guests will be able to vote for their favorite artworks via Twitter, with the top three artists receiving Audience Choice Awards at the end of the exhibit.
