Beholder

Works featured in the Beholder exhibit dealt with what is considered unconventionally “beautiful,” addressing the “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder” idiom.

This exhibit was juried by Catharine Magel, artist, public art specialist, St. Louis, MO; andEric Woods, artist, owner, The Firecracker Press, St. Louis, MOFor this exhibit, 67 St. Louis regional artists submitted 118 artworks in all media for the jurors' consideration. From those entries, Catharine and Eric selected 47 artworks by 36 artists for this exhibition.

SPECIAL EVENT
On Saturdays during this exhibit, Art Saint Louis hosted Meet the Artist days, wherein some of the artists featured in Beholder were on-hand to greet visitors, discuss their works in the show and provide samples of some of their other works.
