Saint Louis Art Fair

September 11-12, 2010

For the past 16 years, Art Saint Louis has participated in the annual Saint Louis Art Fair by presenting the Arts in Action stage. Arts in Action is sponsored by Emerson and hosted by Art Saint Louis and features two days of live art demonstrations by both Art Saint Louis member artists as well as artists featured in SLAF.

Once again, Art Saint Louis will present the Arts in Action stage at this year's 17th annual Saint Louis Art Fair. We'll be there Saturday, September 11 and Sunday September 12. The Arts in Action stage is located on N. Central Avenue at Maryland Avenue (at the end of Central between Il Vicino Pizza and House of Wong restaurants). Downtown Employee Appreciation at Art Saint Louis

September 30, 2010

The public is invited to visit the Art Saint Louis Galllery on Thursday, September 30, 2010, from 12 noon to 1 p.m. and join us for a free art demonstration by mixed media artist Wendy Reitz of Columbia, IL. Wendy. Wendy’s work is currently featured in our “Room With A View” exhibition, on view through October 21. This special FREE event is held in conjunction with Downtown Employee Appreciation Week 2010.

 


 

October 1-17, 2010

For 17 days and nights, beginning October 1, 2010, the American Arts Experience-St. Louis will fill concert halls, museums, theaters, universities and outdoor spaces in the St. Louis area with dozens of performances and shows by renowned American artists and companies in disciplines ranging from symphonic music to jazz and singer-songwriters, theater by American playwrights and dance by American companies to major American visual artists. The American Arts Experience – St. Louis will be an annual festival each October celebrating all mediums of American arts. Art Saint Louis "Room With A View" exhibition will be on view during the festival and Art Saint Louis is a participating venue.

 


 

ArtDTour

Friday, October 1, 2010

Join Art Saint Louis on Friday, October 1, 2010, from 5:30-10 p.m. in the Gallery as we stay open late to participate in the ArtDTour event.

Participants may shuttle themselves around to the locations if they prefer and enjoy a FREE evening of art at their own pace.. . . OR guests can reserve a spot on a bus or shuttle by purchasing seat(s) in advance (MasterCard or Visa) by contacting ArtDimensions at 314/497-5356 or online: www.artdimensions.org. Bus seats are $10/in advance; $15/night of event (After Party not included); Seats on the air conditioned shuttles are $20/in advance; $25/night of event (After Party included). Entry to the After Party is $5 for those without shuttle or bus tickets.

There are 2 routes from which to choose, both starting at the Saint Louis Art Museum:

Route A: Saint Louis Art Museum, St. Louis Artists' Guild & Galleries, Gateway Gallery, Craft Alliance: Delmar Loop, The Gallery at the Regional Arts Commission, The Sheldon Art Galleries

Route B: Saint Louis Art Museum, Craft Alliance: Grand Center, Art Saint Louis, Soulard Art Market & Contemporary Gallery, Concrete Ocean Gallery, ArtD Gallery & Studios @ 2720 

Arrive at the Art Museum at 5:30 p.m. so you can view the exhibits there and enjoy food samples before boarding the shuttle or bus. Taste of St. Louis

October 1-3, 2010

Join Art Saint Louis October 1-3, 2010 as we participate in the Art & Wine Walk at Taste of St. Louis. We'll host an Art Saint Louis information booth and plan to have artist demos, too. The event runs October 1, 4-11 p.m., October 2, 11 a. m.-11 p.m., and October 3, 11 a.m.-9 p.m. at Soldiers Memorial Park in downtown St. Louis.

ArtDTour

Friday, August 6, 2010

On Friday, August 6, 2010 the Art Saint Louis Gallery stayed open late to participate in the ArtDTour event. The event included shuttle & bus tours with stops at a dozen St. Louis area galleries & Museums. A special After Party was held at the Boathouse in Forest Park.

CONNECT WITH. . . THE ARTS

August 5, 2010

On Thursday, August 5, 2010 at the Coronado Ballroom at 3701 Lindell Boulevard in Grand Center Art Saint Louis participated in a special event: Connect With. . . The Arts. ASL joined 12 other area non-profit visual & performing arts organizations at this special event where there will be performances, interactive activities and artist demos. Artist Jennifer Hayes was on-hand to represent Art Saint Louis at the event and worked on a painting "live." METROPOLIS WINE CLUB

May 25, 2010

Thank you to the Metropolis Wine Club for visiting Art Saint Louis on Tuesday, May 25, 2010. At this speical "Arts Reds and Red Art" event, over 90 guests joined us to sample red or white wines from bottles with artistic labels, unique shapes, or creative names while socializing and viewing the "Seeing Red" exhibition at Art St Louis. March 6, 2010

On Saturday, March 6, 2010, from 10-11:30 a.m. Art Saint Louis participated in Kids ArtStart, a free children's art event, held at the Loretto-Hilton Center, 130 Edgar Rd. in Webster Groves, MO. ASL staffer Christine Malinee and Art Saint Louis member artist Nancy Young Spence presented "Art Masterpieces." Also featured were guest artists from the Webster Community Arts Foundation, Foundry Art Centre, and Yucandu Art Studio. 

Kids ArtStart is a series of free family events focused on the arts. Held at The Rep on the first Saturday morning of each month from December through April, these events provide young children with an introduction to the arts and give families an opportunity to share the experience. Kids ArtStart events are interactive, entertaining and fun for all ages. Kids ArtStart is hosted by The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis with local arts organizations and members of the artistic community partnering in the presentations.
