Art St. Louis XXV, The Exhibition

Art Saint Louis presented our twenty-fifth annual all media, all themes, all styles exhibit. This juried exhibit was open to artists aged 21 or older rediging in the St. Louis, Missouri region & 200 mile surrounding area.

Juror: Sheryl Conkelton, Independent Curator, Philadelphia, PA. Most recently Ms. Conkelton served as Director of Exhibitions & Public Programs at Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia, PA. She has also held senior curatorial positions at the Henry Art Gallery, Seattle, WA; Museum of Modern Art, NY; and Los Angeles County Museum of Art, CA. She has lectured extensively at museums, universities and cultural institutions in North America, Europe and Japan, and has taught at at the University of Washington, UCLA and California State University, Los Angeles. She is the recipient of numerous grants, including awards from the NEA, the Peter Norton Family Foundation, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, France. Ms. Conkelton has published widely including books, journals, exhibition catalogues, and other publications.

For this year's exhibition, 114 St. Louis regional artists submitted 491 artworks for our juror's consideration. From those entries, Sheryl Conkelton selected 53 artworks by 46 artists from Missouri, Illinois and Kentucky for the exhibit. Works exhibited will include ceramics, digital media, drawing, mixed media, painting, photography, printmaking, textiles, woodwork, and more.
